Terry (Greenwald) Rasico, 69, passed away on June 30th at her home in Rapid River, Michigan as the result of a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and a short battle with cancer. She was born February 1st 1938 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Andrew and Elizabeth (nee Bauschelt) Greenwald.
She was educated in Kenosha, Wisconsin schools, which included Jefferson, Washington Jr. High, and she graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1955.
She married Earl Rasico on October 27th 1956 at the First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Terry was employed, in the office, at Cooper’s Inc for many years and later worked for Seymour and Associates SC for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1993. While living in Michigan she was a member of the Rapid River Senior Center and the National Parkinson Society.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Her wide range of talents encompassed everything from homemaker, raising three children, cooking and baking. She enjoyed making special foods such as ravioli, spritz cookies, and toffee which she happily shared with family and friends. She was a very kind and thoughtful person who often delivered homemade soups and baked goods to friends, family, and neighbors who were ill or just as a treat. Terry enjoyed sending greeting cards to the people she knew and cared about. She often did this for special occasions or just to let others know she was thinking of them. Terry was loved and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband Earl, son Rick (Marie) Rasico, Twin Lakes, WI; daughter Jane (Carl) Hoffman, Prairie du Sac, WI; and son Dan Rasico, Kenosha, WI; five grandchildren, Andy Rasico, Jim Rasico, Tim Rasico, Mollie Hoffman, and Sophie Hoffman; sisters Donna VanWinkle, Winter, WI and Shirley (James) Seymour, Kenosha, WI; brothers Eugene Greenwald, Kenosha, WI and James (Lynne) Greenwald, Kenosha, WI; brother-in laws Bob (Betty) Rasico, Kenosha, WI and William (Doris) Rasico, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Robert; sister Lucille (Al) Jahnke; brother-in-law Tom (Delores) Rasico; and sister-in-law Betty Botz.
A private service will be held on July 14th in Gladstone, MI. at the Skradski Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to OSF-Hospice in Escanaba, Michigan.
