Loretta Lucille Young, age 89, of Gladstone, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
Loretta was born in Rock on November 6, 1917 to John and Emma (Boissonnault) Johnson. She was a graduate from Rock High School. Loretta was a lifetime resident of the Rock, Schaffer and Gladstone areas and was a longtime member of the All Saints Church in Gladstone. She was united in marriage to Charles “Charlie” Young in 1937. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, watching wildlife and spending time with her grandchildren.

4 Grandchildren: Robert Young Jr. of Gladstone, MI; Jacqueline (Brian) Mineau of Lancaster, CA; Chester Young of Little Chute, WI; Judy Young of Hephzibah, GA
5 Great Grandchildren: Erin and Matthew Mineau; Clinton Peltier-Young; Savanna and Devin Young

Her husband- Charles on December 30, 2004, her parents and her sister, Helen Posonke.
The Young family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral Services celebrating the life of Loretta Young will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Father Emmett Norden officiating. A luncheon will follow services at the All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. Loretta will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
