Roger K. Trekas, age 77, of Gladstone, died Sunday at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers He was born December 20th, 1929 in Gladstone and his parents were Steve and Anita (Haefs) Trekas and he was raised in Gladstone. In 1969, he retired from the U.S. Navy after over 22 years of service to his country.

Roger Trekas’s survivors include:

1 Daughter- Monica Matthews of Wisconsin

3 Brothers-Jerry (Charlotte) Trekas of Arizona
                  Ronald (Madelyn) Trekas of Gladstone
                  Larry (Carol) Trekas of Gladstone

2 Sisters- Vivian Look of Florida
                 Norma Mallas of Colorado

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted.

Private graveside services will be held on Thursday at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone with Military Rites being conducted by the Gladstone American Legion August Mattson Post #71.
