Dorothy LaCosse Bonevelle, age 92, of Gladstone passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility where she was a resident for the past 10 years.
Dorothy was born January 16, 1915 in Gladstone to Frank and Frances (LaRose) LaPointe. She was a lifelong resident of Gladstone, except for a few years that she lived in Munising. She was also a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. Dorothy was united in marriage to her first husband, Roy LaCosse in 1932 in Gladstone. He preceded her on death January 10, 1966. She later married Joseph Bonevelle on June 30, 1972 and moved with him to Munising from 1972 until his passing in 1979. Dorothy was a homemaker most of her life and worked for the Eaton Corporation from 1966 until 1972. She was an avid outdoorswomen, enjoying hunting, ice fishing and gardening. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts and helping others. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandson. She will be dearly missed.

Dorothy’s family will receive friends on Monday, August 20 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr Arnold Grambow officiating. A luncheon will follow at All Saints Catholic Church. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband, Roy at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
