Orville "Orv" Larscheid, age 74, of 1635 16th Avenue South, Escanaba, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at his hunting camp in Garden.
Orv, as he was fondly remembered, was born February 14, 1933, in Nahma, the son of Arthur and Marie (Edwards) Larscheid. He was raised in Nahma and attended and graduated from the Nahma school system. In 1953, Orv enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bliss, TX, during the Korean War Conflict. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1955, at which time, Orv returned to Escanaba where he acquired a position for the Harnischfeger Corporation working in the company’s administrative offices. Orv worked for Harnischfeger for thirty years before gaining employment with Pro Auto Body and remaining with Pro Auto Body until his retirement. Orv was a member of the Escanaba Elks Club and the Delta County Ducks Unlimited Organization. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, spending time with his family and most important, going to camp. He will be deeply missed by friends and family.

2 Grandchildren: Dylan Jones and Devin Larscheid
Survivors also include many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Larscheid family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Orville H. Larscheid will follow visitation, at 1:00PM, at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba, with Rev. Jonathan Schmidt of the First Lutheran Church of Gladstone officiating. Committal will take place in the Moss Lake Cemetery near Isabella. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Larscheid family with arrangements.
