Corrinne Wunder Viau, age 92, of 6201 Hwy M-35 in Gladstone passed away Friday, August 17, 2007 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Corrinne was born May 17, 1915 in Escanaba to Jack and Gertie (Henry) LaValley. She was a lifelong resident of the Escanaba area. Corrinne was involved with many activities in her long life but loving and caring for her large family was always the most important. She was a member of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Escanaba for over 60 years. She worked as a waitress at Tim and Sally’s for many years, as a cook at St. Francis Hospital and also as a senior companion with the Community Action Agency. She loved berry picking, playing the nickel machines at the casino, polka dancing, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, deer hunting, fishing, hiking, crossword puzzles and playing cards. She loved to stay busy.

Corrinne’s family will receive friends on Monday, August 20 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 21 at 2:00 PM at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Escanaba with Pastor Paul Doletzky officiating. A luncheon will be served immediately following funeral services in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Marquette General Hospice.
