Mirko “Mike” Lustick, age 84, of the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers (formerly of Trenary) died Friday morning September 21, 2007 at Pinecrest following a lengthy illness. Mirko was born April 8, 1923 in Trenary the son of immigrant parents Louis and Mary (Oberstar) Lustick.  Mike as everyone called him, worked on the family farm until his enlistment in the US Army from 1943 to 1946.  Upon his honorable discharge in 1946 he continued to work on the family farm and also he worked in the woods until he became ill.  For the past 36 years he had resided at Pinecrest.  Mike enjoyed watching the news and reading.  

Survivors include his sister, Bertha (Robert) Berg of Rapid River and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by:
3 sisters: Frances; Loretta; and Vida
6 brothers: Fred; John; Max; Louis; Conrad; and Rudolph

Mike’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.  Funeral services celebrating the life of Mirko “Mike” Lustick will follow at 11:00 AM at the Skradski Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Jacek Wytklo officiating.  Burial will be in the Trenary Cemetery in Trenary.  Luncheon will follow at the Trenary Lions Club after the burial.
