Kristi Kay Darmogray, 30, of Rapid River went to Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior on October 31, 2007. Our beloved daughter, sister and aunt was dedicated to making a difference in other people’s lives.

Kristi graduated from Gladstone High School in 1995. She furthered her education at Northern Michigan University and Spaulding University in Louisville, KY, graduating with honors with her Masters degree in Nursing. Upon graduation, she returned to her hometown of Gladstone to live and work at OSF St. Francis Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner. She worked in various OSF sites, mainly at the Women’s Center and Walk-in-Clinic. She will be greatly missed by her friends at work and the patients she dedicated her life to taking care of. She was not only a wonderful provider, she was always a caring and smiling face.

Kristi loved gardening and for many years was active in sports, particularly softball and volleyball.

Kristi is survived by her parents, Don and Liza Darmogray of Gladstone, her sister and best friend, Katie (Chad) Cartwright of Green Bay. She was a devoted aunt and doted on her three nieces, Emma, Sophia, and Jocelyn. She is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her good friends, Nona Gereau, Becky Quinn, Jenny Kessinger, and Chad Nelson.

Private funeral services will be held by the family at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in memory of Kristi to the Kristi Darmogray Nursing Scholarship Account at Baybank - 104 South 10th Street, Gladstone, MI 49837. The scholarship fund will benefit students at Bay College. Kristi devoted her life to helping people. Her life ended far too soon but she made an impact in the short years we had her. We will miss her greatly, always.
