Alan H. Szukalowski, age 38, of Escanaba, beloved father and son, went to be with the Lord Wednesday October 31, 2007. Al’s last few minutes on this earth were not reflective of the man we knew. Alan was loving, caring, kind and generous with a burning passion for his daughter.

Following high school, Alan attended Northern Michigan University. On July 15, 1989, Alan married the former Rhonda Farley, at the Fayette Congregational Church, and together the couple made their home, in Marquette, where they had their only daughter, Kortni. Throughout his life, Alan was employed for the Marquette County Sherriff’s Department and the United States Postal Service before acquiring a position as a drug and alcohol counselor at the Bay Pines Center where he has been employed for the past nine years. Alan enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, singing and being in the outdoors.
