Grace Louise Frankovich, age 83, of Manistique passed away Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
 
Grace was born November 23, 1924 in Manistique to Robert and Ruth (Williams) Shampine. She was united in marriage to George Frankovich on December 27, 1944 at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique. Their union lasted over 62 years. Grace remained a lifelong resident of Manistique and a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching  Lions football, and the Tigers with her husband George. She loved spending time with her family, especially playing games with her grand children and great grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed.

Her son: George (Anita) Frankovich of West Bloomfield, MI

Her daughters: Ruth (John) Schwartz of Rapid River, MI; Kaye (Kenneth) Gross of Gladstone

5 Grandchildren: Andy (Robin) Schwartz, Kevin (Jo Lee) Schwartz, Rodney (Paula)Schwartz, John Schwartz all of Rapid River ; Jenessa (Ryan) Allen of Rochester Hills, MI

7 Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Paige, Jared, Jaden, Erika , Brittany and Maxwell

Her brother: Robert Shampine of Texas

Her sister: Edith Sitoski of Manistique , MI

According to family wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Friday, May 16 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique with Rev. Fr. Glen Theoret officiaitng. Grace will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Fairview Cemetery in Manistique immediately following services.
