Louis "Bud" Edward Tryan, age 62, of Ford River passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 following a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Bud was born on October 11, 1945 to Louis C. and Betty (VanEffen) Tryan. On April 24, 1965 he married Betty Severson. In his teens, he worked at Boydston’s mink ranch in Danforth. In 1968 he started working for the ore docks from which he retired in 2003.
Bud’s family was the center of his life. He especially enjoyed spending time with them hunting and watching deer at the family’s camp. He supported every activity that his family and friends were involved in. Sundays were reserved for Mueller’s Pizza, watching NASCAR and rooting for Dale Earnhardt or anything GM. Motorsports has always been in his blood. He rode snowmobiles, four-wheelers and participated in the Bark River off-road races, stock car races at the fair grounds and raced rafts down the Ford River. Anyone who met him will never forget him. He made bonds that are unbreakable with his outgoing personality, honesty and of course, the quick-witted wisecracks
He will remain forever in the hearts of his mother, Betty Jean Tryan of Ford River; his wife, Betty June Tryan of Ford River; his children; Julie (Todd) Millette, Edward (Traci) Tryan, Brenda (Gus) McAlpine, Kari (Tony) Asselin all of Escanaba and Cory (Kylie) Tryan stationed in Wahiawa, Hawaii; grandchildren, Jaci, Jordan and Jaydeen Millette; Shaine Miller and Evan Tryan; Jerrika McAlpine; Karia Asselin; Haylee and Hannah Tryan; brothers, Gary (Gail) Tryan, Allen (Patty) Tryan, Ronald (Diane) Tryan, Daniel (Janice) Tryan and Thomas (special friend Diane) Tryan all of Escanaba, Michael (Kathy) Tryan of Manistique, Brian (Christine) Tryan of Gladstone and Dale Tryan of Kaukauna, WI; sisters, Donna (Jerry) Coppock, Patti (Scott) Acker and Tammy (Buzz) Watts all of Escanaba; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Louis Clarence Tryan; sisters, Debra and Bonnie and his faithful canine companion, Meeko.
A visitation with the Tryan family will be held on Friday, January 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba.. Bud’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bud’s name be directed to the family so that they may donate the funds to Pancreatic cancer research.
