Jack “Tony” Curran Jr., age 37, of Aurora, IL, formerly of Rapid River, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at home.
 
He was born March 13, 1970 in Green Bay , WI to Jack Curran Sr and Beth Ann Royer. During his younger years he lived in the Chicago area, Gladstone and Rapid River , MI . He graduated from Rapid River High School in 1989 and went into the Army as a military police officer until 1992. He then moved to the Chicago area where he was currently employed as an Operations Manager for Met-Pro Corporation.
 
Jack was preceded in death by his grandparents: Tim and Marcella (Sally) Curran, Wilfred Royer, Fred Orland, and Vernis Hardwick.
 
He is survived by his three children- Jamie, Megan, and Christina Curran of Geneva, IL, whom he loved dearly, his parents Jack Anthony Curran Sr, Fremont, WI and Beth Ann Royer, Escanaba, MI; Grandmother Pearle Orland, Green Bay, WI; Grandfather Melvin Hardwick, Escanaba, MI; siblings Coral (Jim Nelson and children Kevin, Justin, Jimmy) Anderson, Escanaba, MI; Dean (Susan Martindill) Hardwick, Santa Clara, CA; David (Danielle and children Brianna, Sage, Justice, Chase, and Elijah) Hardwick, Indiananpolis, IN; and Darrel (Nicole and child Deanna) Hardwick, Jr, Spalding, MI; as well as his girlfriend Jennifer Rosiak, Naperville, IL. His many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will miss him.
 
The Curran family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 4th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military Rites will be conducted at 5:45 PM by the Rapid River American Legion. Memorial Services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathon Schmidt officiating.
