Jim Feldhusen

Died March 20, 2008


Jim "Ringo" Feldhusen, age 43, of 814 2nd Avenue South, passed away Thursday March 20, 2008, at the Feldhusen family home in Escanaba.

Jim was born January 23, 1965, at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba, the son of Francis and Beatrice (DeLoughary) Feldhusen. Jim was raised in Escanaba and attended and graduated from the Escanaba Senior High School in 1983. Following high school, Jim was employed, as a cook, at various restaurants before accepting a position as a sheet metal worker at Pearson’s Heating and later at Todd’s Heating, in Escanaba. He recently went back to work as a cook, at the Delona Restaurant, until his health began to fail this year. Jim enjoyed playing pool on the Delta Mens League with friends. For many years on Barrons team and this year for Remember When. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Lions and NASCAR racing. He loved to spend time with family and friends and will be deeply missed by those who knew him. 

In addition to his loving mother, Bea, Jim is survived by:

1 Brother: Pat (Kathy) Feldhusen of Escanaba, MI

2 Sisters: Lori (Mike Bartlett) Feldhusen of Vernon, FL, Rosie Feldhusen of Escanaba, MI
1 Niece: Heather "Feather Farmer" Feldhusen of Whitefish Bay, WI
Also listed among the surviving family are many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Francis:

Maternal Grandparents: Harold and Leona DeLoughary
Paternal Grandparents: Lawrence and Carrie Feldhusen

Jim’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Beginning at 2:00PM, at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home, Rev. Fr. Emmett Norden will open the public visitation hours in prayer. A family and friend gathering, to continue to celebrate Jim’s life, will follow visitation. All are invited and welcome to attend. Details will be announced at the conclusion of visitation, on Saturday. Memorial contributions in Jim "Ringo" Feldhusen’s name maybe directed to the Delta County Cancer Alliance. Envelopes will be available at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home throughout visitation. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Feldhusen family with arrangements.
