Ronald “Bud” Alden Gereau, age 70, of 435 Kimberly Drive, Diamondale, MI died Saturday April 12, 2008 at home following a lengthy illness.
Ronald was born March 20, 1938 in Wells, MI the son of Tony and Mildred (Leonard) Gereau. He was raised in Nahma and Rapid River and he was a graduate of the Rapid River High School. Following graduation, Bud served in the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1967.
Before retiring, Bud was most recently employed by Ingham County Mental Health Department where he worked as a Juvenile Advocate. His hobbies included golfing, hunting and fishing.

Daughter; Retha (Michael) Sandler of Alpharetta, GA
Brother; Tony (Ellen) Gereau of Abernathy, TX
Sisters; Betty (Richard) Marquette of Ocala, FL and Marguerite Reinwand of Rapid River
2 granddaughters; Lily and Melanie
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
In addition to his mother and father, Bud was preceded in death by his:
Step Father; Charles Reinwand
Wife; Dorothy “Susie” (Elegreet) whom he married on April 7, 1962 and who preceded him in death on May 21, 1995.
2 Sisters; Jean and Patricia
Bud’s family will receive friends and family on Thursday May 8, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Rapid River American Legion Post #301 military rites will be conducted at 5:00 PM on Thursday. Graveside services will be held on Friday May 9, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
