Diane Katherine Delvaux, age 70, of 6397 North 8th Street in Wells passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 with her family by her side.
Diane was born October 17, 1937 in Escanaba to Joseph and Diana (Decaire) Gardner. She remained a lifelong resident of Escanaba and a lifetime member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wells, and at one time was active with the Ladies Guild. Diane graduated from Escanaba High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Richard Delvaux on June 17, 1961 at St. Anthony’s church. Diane worked for the Daily Press newspaper from the time she graduated from high school until she and her husband, Richard, started their family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always supportive of her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts and school activities. Diane was beloved by her family and will be dearly missed.

3 Sisters: Lois (Tom) Quinn of Gladstone; Carol (Ernie) Starnes of North Carolina; Roberta (Paul) Ninichuck of Santa Ana, California

She was preceded in death by:
Her husband, Richard, on September 10, 2007; her parents; 3 Brothers, Bob, Wallace and Dave Gardner and 1 sister, Jean Mileski.
The Delvaux family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wells with Rev. Fr. Corey Litzner officiating. A luncheon will be served immediately following services in the church fellowship hall. Diane will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial contributions in Diane’s name may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
