Glorianne M. “Gloria” Orr, age 72, of 155 South 29th Street; Gladstone, passed away on Saturday morning, November 8th, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. On September 15th, 1936, Gloria was born to Theodore and Gladys (Berg) Wickman in Gladstone and was raised in Keego Harbor, Michigan.
Gloria married Kenneth Albert Orr on December 23rd, 1955 in Pontiac. Kenneth was a graduate of the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Gloria and Kenneth lived and ministered in a number of locations in Michigan and Missouri and had last lived in Oklahoma before his retirement. They had lived in Gladstone since 1993 and Rev. Kenneth Orr passed away on May 4th, 1998.
Having been an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Escanaba, Gloria took pride in her faith and took part in numerous church activities, including being a greeter and being involved with the “Saints Alive” group. She was also known for her activities with the nursery and with younger members of the congregation. Additionally, her family fondly remembers her ability as a seamstress.

3 Daughters- Melody Anderson of Long Beach, CA; Gretchen (Leland) Streck of Hillsdale, OK; Rebecca (Jeff) Zarr of Mount Pleasant, MI
4 Brothers-Charles (Faith) Wickman of Gladstone and AZ; Robert Wickman of Gladstone; Jim (Bev) Wickman of Engadine, MI; Ted (Lynn) Wickman of Houghton Lake, MI and FLA
6 Granchildren-James Anderson, Julie Anderson, Ricky Streck, Brooke Scribner, Alexa Zarr, Carissa Streck
and by nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Kenneth, Gloria was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Streck.
The family Gloria Orr will receive friends on Wednesday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Escanaba from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services celebrating her life will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Pat. Radue officiating. Luncheon will follow services in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery after the luncheon.
