Eileen A. Peterson, age 90, of Escanaba passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.

Eileen was born August 1, 1918 in Escanaba to Charles and Alma (Carlson) Johnson. She remained a lifelong resident of Escanaba and a faithful member of the Bethany Lutheran Church. Eileen married her high school sweetheart, Leslie “Dutch” Peterson on March 2, 1940 in Escanaba. They recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.

Her son, Charles L. Peterson of Escanaba
Her daughter: Linda E. (James) Bonifas of Escanaba
2 Grandchildren: Sara and Kate
2 Step-Grandchildren: Melissa and Erik
1 Great Granddaughter: Camree Rose
3 Step-Great Grandchildren: Melinda, Madaline, Rowan

She was preceded in death by:
Her husband, Dutch, on March 9, 2008, her parents and a sister, Ethel J. Johnson.

Funeral services for Eileen will be Wednesday, November 12 at 4:00 PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba with Pastor Paul Mai officiating. The Peterson family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Refreshments will be served immediately following services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Eileen's name may be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church.
