Dennis  Patrick Callahan, age 65, son of Raymond and the late Marie (Casimir) Callahan of Rapid River, passed away on December 4, 2008 at his home in Darien, CT. Dennis was born in Milwaukee, WI, raised in Rapid River, and graduated from Holy Name High School. He was a graduate of Northern Michigan University and had a long and varied career in retail.

his wife, Diane (Durham) Callahan, of Darien, CT

His father, “Ray” of Rapid River

Children – Todd Callahan of Darien CT; Jennifer Crewe of Virginia; Amy (Tim) Tannert, of Cuyahoga, OH; Lindsey Callahan, of Darien, CT

Grandchildren – Alec and Alexa Crewe, VA

Siblings- Timothy (Kathleen) Callahan of Rapid River; Michael (Penny) Callahan of Rapid River; Marie (Pat) Mullin of South Lyon, MI; Susan (Perry) Buffington of Milford, OH

Visitation and viewing will be held on Wednesday at St. Charles Church in Rapid River from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Church with Rev. Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. Burial will be in Rapid River Cemetery. Luncheon will immediately follow the cemetery committal rites at St. Charles Parish Hall.
