Barb A. Rosinski, age 72, of 1106 Washington Avenue, Escanaba passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital.
Barb was born April 9, 1937 in Marquette to Gerald and Irma (Riedemann) Burkart. She grew up in Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School. Barb was united in marriage to Waldemar “Ski” Rosinski. Their union took them to St. Ignace, New Jersey and New York while “Ski” served in the United States Coast Guard for over 20 years. Following his retirement they moved to Escanaba where Barb resided the rest of her life. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and enjoyed going to bible study. Barb was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Escanaba Elks Lodge 354. Barb also enjoyed bowling, watching the Green Bay Packers and watching soap operas.

4 Grandchildren: Nicole and Danielle Demeuse and Ryan and Nathan Rosinski
Her brother, Bill (Gale) Burkart of Escanaba
Her sister, Geraldine Hurd of Decatur, Alabama
Several nieces and nephews
Son-in-law, Raymond Demeuse
Longtime Companion, Pat Gallagher of Escanaba
Close Friend, Jackie Wigand of Cornell
She was preceded in death by her husband, Waldemar “Ski” Rosinski on August 10, 1980; her daughter, Lori Demeuse and her parents.
The Rosinski family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 13 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM at the church with Rev. Peter Anderson officiating. A luncheon will be served immediately following services at the church. Memorial contributions in Barb’s name may be directed to the American Heart Association. The Rosinski family is being assisted by the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba.
