Sandra M. “Sandi” Gray, age 63, of 308 North 11th Street, Escanaba, passed away Friday evening June 12, 2009, at the Marquette General Hospital, where she was a patient.

Sandi was born, July 28, 1945, in Detroit, the daughter of Daniel and Hazel (Singer) Scheideman.  She was raised in Detroit where she attended and graduated from CAS Technical High School.  Following school, Sandi was united in marriage to Robert A. Gray.  Over the years, Sandi and Robert started their family, giving birth to four children.  Robert preceded Sandi in death on August 14, 1973.  Upon Robert’s death, Sandi relocated to Delta County where she continued to raise her family and eventually gain employment for the Mead Paper Corporation.  Sandi enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing and spending time with her dogs.  She will be deeply missed.

2 Sons:  Clark (Shirley O’Mealy) Gray of Escanaba, MI; John Gray of Escanaba, MI

2 Daughters:  Sandy L. (Mark Clark) Gray of Escanaba, MI: Heather Gray of Nashville, TN

3 Sisters:  Joann (Kenneth) Jenkins of Farmington Hills, MI; Judy (Bill) Wallin of Rochester, MI; Susie (Steve) Hansen of Grass Lake, MI

6 Grandchildren:  Cory, David, Devin, Christopher, Ian and Sierra

Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 
In addition to her parents, Daniel and Hazel and her husband, Robert, Sandi was preceded in death by: 1 Brother:  Daniel Scheideman    
 
Sandi’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba.  Funeral services celebrating the life of Sandi Gray will follow visitation, at 6:00PM, at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Gauger of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid River, officiating.  The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Escanaba are assisting the Gray family with arrangements.
