Jeanine R. “Jean” Sischo, age 72, of E 2670 Hoy Road; Trenary passed away on Thursday, June 4th, 2009 at home with family at her side.

Jean was born to Hedvig and Dora (Trombley) Sodergren on May 21, 1937 in Escanaba, was raised in Escanaba and was a graduate of the Escanaba School System.

She married Woodrow Potvin and they resided in the Osier area. Woodrow passed away in 1981and she later married Bruce A. Sischo and he survives.

Family remembers Jean as a wonderful mother and wife. Jean’s constant love and appreciation of family will always be remembered by them. Her grandchildren and all the family gatherings through the years were so dear to her. In addition, boating, fishing, and cooking were some of her favorite past-times. She will be sadly missed by all her family but their wonderful enduring memories live on.

Children: Dianna (Pete) McIntyre of Gladstone, Robin (Tim) Royer of Wisconsin, Terry (Allan) Augustyn of Ternary, Arnold (Kim) Potvin  of Canada,

step-sons, Mark and Peter Sischo of Wisconsin,

six sisters: Linnea (Edward) Lantagne of Escanaba, June (Carl) Eastman of Escanaba, Beverly (Sherril) Loyd of Ilinois, Lois (Clayton) Vandrese of Gladstone, Roberta (Robert) Anderson of Gladstone, Gloria Terrian of Wisconsin ,

numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 

The family of Jeanine R. Sischo will receive friends on Tuesday at St. Rita Church in Trenary from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at St. Rita Church with Rev. Fr. Peter Zaczynski officiating. After burial in the Trenary Cemetery, luncheon will be served in the church parish hall. The Skradski-Boyce Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the family.
