Joan Z. Amann, 81, of 8267 N.7 Lane, Gladstone, passed away Monday afternoon July 27, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Joan was born January 3, 1928 in Port Huron, MI the daughter of Benhart and Ruth (Hewett) Olson. Joan was employed with Gladstone Public Schools for several years.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, William L. “Bill” Amann

3 sons: Mike (James Nissen) Amann of Bay View, WI; Jeff (Kathy Popa) Amann of LaGrange, WI; Matt (Diane) Amann of Gladstone

3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

1 brother-in-law: Edward (Joyce) Amann of Sebewing, MI

1 sister-in-law: Mary Cox of Pontiac, MI

According to Joan’s wishes, private services were held at the family home. Memorial contributions in memory of Joan may be directed to the Gladstone Public Library.
