Danielle Marie Thompson, age 35, of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning October 19, 2009 at the Marquette General Hospital Special Care Unit in Marquette.

Danielle was born July 17, 1974 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.  She was the daughter of Michael and Cheryl (Lancour) Thompson. She graduated from the Escanaba High School in 1992. For the last five years she worked for Claire’s Boutique in the mall. Her passions in her life were her two horses, Hardtime Dude and Tammy who she showed dressage. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She leaves behind,  greatest of all, her two sons Seth and Tyler, and her dog Puggles. She was so proud to give them a home! Danielle also enjoyed playing paintball with her boys and the crew at Splat-U-Later.

She will be greatly missed by all. She put her heart and soul into all she did.

Her mother and step-father Cheryl (Ted) Smith of Cornell

Her brother Shawn Michael Thompson and special friend Kimberly Ketchum of Lacrosse, WI

Step-sisters: Penny (Robert) Nabors of Texas; Jaylene Richards of Escanaba; Beth Ann (Jerry) Baldwin of Escanaba

Step-brothers: Robert (Wendy) Williams of White Cloud, Michigan; Ted (Lisa) Smith of White Cloud, Michigan; Kelly Smith of Escanaba

She was preceded in death by her father Michael James Thompson in 1994, her maternal grandfather Harry Lancour and her maternal great grandparents Laura and Fred Marenger.

Danielle’s family will receive friends on Friday, October 23 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Jose Maramattam officiating. A luncheon will be served immediately following services at the Holy Family Catholic Church – Father Matt Hall in Flat Rock. Danielle will be laid to rest in the Escanaba Township Cemetery in Flat Rock.
