Shayne A. Moser, Sr., age 42, of 10645 North Main Street; Rapid River, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 of an apparent heart attack.
Shayne was born June 26th, 1967 in Livonia, MI, the son of Clifton and Gail (Savola) Moser and was raised in Rapid River with his family. After attending the Rapid River School System, he graduated from the Rapid River High School in 1985.
Shayne was employed in construction during much of his working life and had been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #876 of Grand Rapids. In addition, he later was engaged in the cross-country furniture moving industry until he became disabled after a serious injury in 1990.
Shayne enjoyed a variety of interests, including raising chickens, listening to many types of music, and he had a fascination with old cars in conjunction with their histories. He also had an appreciation of the outdoors, including a strong interest in all wildlife. His giving and thoughtful nature will always be remembered by all who knew him and his daily reading of the Bible is particularly remembered by his family.

his wife, the former Rebecca “Becky” T. Thibault, whom he married August 1st, 2009 at their home.
one son, Shayne (Crystal Forsyth) Moser, Jr. of Rapid River,
his parents, Clifton and Gail Moser of Rapid River,
one sister, Roxanne (Eric) Soderstrom of Rapid River,
father and mother-in-law, Richard and Rosemary Thibault, of Channing, MI,
two brothers-in-law, Michael (Darlene) Thibault, of New Hampshire and Ricky (C.J.) Thibault of Iron Mountain,
and nieces and nephews including a paternal nephew, Kade Soderstrom, at home in Rapid River.
Also surviving are numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A daughter, Melanie Munn, preceded Shayne in death on September 5th, 2002.
The family of Shayne A. Moser, Sr. will receive friends on Monday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Services celebrating Shayne’s life will follow on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Rev. Father Emmett Norden officiating. Luncheon will follow services and burial will be in the spring in the Rapid River Cemetery.
