Ed Walker was born and raised in Lake Odessa, Michigan. He is a graduate of Lakewood High School and undertook pre-mortuary studies at Western Michigan University. He is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science.
Following graduation, Ed served his apprenticeship and worked three years at Langeland Funeral Homes in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Prior to moving to Gladstone in 1992, he was a manager for Calvin Funeral Home in South Haven, Michigan.
Ed is a member of First Lutheran Church where he served six years on the church council and is a member of the Gladstone Lions Club, M.F.D.A., and N.F.D.A. Ed and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Chad and Kaili. Ed's hobbies include playing racquetball, running and biking.
